This Suicide Prevention Month, we proudly stand alongside David's Legacy Foundation, an organization dedicated to eradicating cyberbullying through education, legislation, and action. Through sharing their story within The Upstanders Creative Coping Toolkit (CCT), we're fostering compassion and belonging in schools, workplaces, and homes.

David's Legacy Foundation was born to preserve the memory of David Molak, a bright soul who left the world at only 16 years old. His mother, Maurine Molak, ignited change by advocating for David's Law, which empowers schools in Texas to address off-campus cyberbullying.

The Upstanders CCT shares David's story and equips users with valuable insights, tools, and resources to build compassionate and inclusive communities. Explore this film program and join our united efforts to work towards a world free of bullying.

David's Legacy Foundation is making waves in the fight against cyberbullying, with nationwide efforts impacting beyond Texas. The Kid's Online Safety Act (KOSA) of 2023 ensures that social media platforms protect minors by offering privacy options, disabling addictive features, and allowing them to opt out of algorithmic recommendations.

It also gives parents new controls and creates channels for reporting inappropriate or dangerous content. The legislation would require that online platforms put the interests of children first, providing a default safe environment. Thanks to Maurine Molak, David's Legacy Foundation, and many others, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation unanimously approved KOSA, making way for a full Senate vote this fall.

You may voice your support for KOSA by contacting your U.S. Senator at - (202) 224-3132
