THE CREATIVE COPING TOOLKIT
For Schools
The Power of Film to Impact Community, Conversation, and Change.
Reimagining Learning Together
The Creative Coping Toolkit is a film-based, life skill building education program that includes personal stories and expert perspectives, as well as evidenced-informed strategies, activities, short courses and practical tools to support safety, mental wellbeing, personal agency, leadership and community growth.
We use the power of film to create connection, kick-start and open up important conversations, shift perspectives, and help people feel supported and connected. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE
The CCT delivers single to multi-year access to our film programs, integrated into one interactive and easy-to-use online dashboard that includes:
24 evidence informed activities based on cognitive behavioral therapy that deepen learning, gamify talking about our feelings, and support long-term attitude and habit shift. Plus, an additional test-your-knowledge quiz for each film to reflect on key takeaways.
Extensive resources and year-long services for educators to support implementation and engagement in school communities. Resources include a lesson plan guide and monthly facilitator guide sharing best practices and ideas. Services include monthly PLC programming and add-on, interactive training sessions.
Tools and strategies for measuring impact and evolving programming through various routes: survey feedback from students, educators, guardians, and community-based training sessions, viewership analytics and reports, support team check-ins with a designated point of contact, and live-screening engagements (Q&A, chat function).
Community Engagement
We set out to make a movie about mental health after the loss of a dear friend by suicide and family members struggling. Taking the film out into the world, hosting thousands of screenings, and listening to students, parents and educators who shared their stories and challenges inspired the creation of the Creative Coping Toolkit. This program is built by all of us for all of us.
Collaboration is Key
Guided by educators, parents, students, mental health professionals and brain scientists, our film program has been crafted with the collaboration of organizations such as: American School Counselor Association, International School Counselor Association, Child Mind Institute, Common Sense Media, Healthy Minds, Center for Compassion and Altruism at Stanford University and Seattle Children’s Hospital just to name a few.
Yes - these conversations are hard, but necessary.

the Creative Coping Toolkit (CCT) directly addresses some of the major stressors for today's youth and their families.
Our evidenced based, year-long, film programs complement each other, helping young people to adults towards better thought patterns, more considerate actions, stronger empathy, and resilience. They help them become healthier, more connected and create a foundation for academic success.
